New BMI tool for finding obesity problem

West Virginia is hoping that new BMI tool will help the state in fighting against the obesity problem. The wheel which is a BMI calculator will be given to the doctors in the state as a way to identify the obesity problem early in their patients.

The health beneficial group Unicare, which is the biggest medical coverage provider in the State, will be giving training to the doctors and their staff about obesity protection and BMI measurement.

West Virginia is the third heaviest state in the nation. According to state Bureau for Public Health, more than 30 percent of adults here are obese. According to another study which was carried earlier this year suggests that West Virginia placed second among obese children.
