US most obese compared with other Europeans

According to a latest study released, nearly twice as many U.S. adults are obese compared to European. This is the main reason why Americans have to suffer more of certain diseases like cancer, diabetes and other chronic ailments (From Yahoo News).

The main reason for many of illnesses is obesity and smoking. Stats states that 33 percent of US are obese compared with 17 percent of obesity occurrence in other 10 European countries. More than 50 percent of US people are former or current smokers compared with 43 percent in other European countries.

The study also found that more than 12 percent of American people are diagnosed with cancer which is more than twice of rest of the Europe. But that is likely due in part to more screening here, the study said.
