According to a latest study, smoking does not help us in losing our body fat at all. Australian research team from the University of Wales and the University of Melbourne says that this study exposes the myth that smoking helps us in keeping out weights down.
The researchers carry out a study on nice for seven weeks. 50 percent of mice were exposed to smoke from four cigarettes a day for six days a week and the rest were kept smoke free.
This study indicates that the smokers lost muscle mass that gave them the appearance of being thinner. While mice on the smoke diet ate about 23 percent less calories, they retained their fat mass to pre-smoking levels.
