Cathi Lee big weight loss makes her to Oprah show

Few years back, Cathi Lee was not able to stand up for 10 seconds at a time. But now the woman from Waterville is at the gym 4:30 am five day a week. At the age of 49, she had been successful in losing more than 300 pounds and is also determined to keep the weight off.

Her achievements were recognized by the one of television’s most recognizable personalities on "The Oprah Winfrey Show". "I was there for four days," Lee said. "It was just the most incredible experience. "[Oprah] could not have been more generous. She was so funny. She’s just like she is on the show."

Lee had written to Oprah’s website two years back but did not get any response. But recently, the producers contacted her about her being on the show.

Cathi has been overweight from the age of 7 and used her first diet at the age of 8. But nothing worked her and she just kept on adding pounds until she reached 506 pounds. Then she decided she had to do something about her weight. She searched Internet and check out many weight loss plans. Lee did not inform anyone about her weight loss plans, as she was afraid of the failures.

After one year of dieting, she was able to lose 90 pounds. She started eating lot of fruits and vegetables and said goodbye to red meat and move more towards fish and whole grains. She then started walking and kept on improving her exercising and walking with time.

Now she feels fantastic and maintains a healthy routine to maintain her weight. "If I don’t go to a gym, I spend an hour dancing around my apartment," Lee said. "When I come out of that gym after a 2½-hour workout I feel incredibly powerful."
