Things to notice when buying shoes for kids

buying shoes for kids When you go to buy shoes for your kids next time, pay special attention to whether the shoes are providing protection and support required for your kids growing feet and less attention towards the look or style of the shoes. There are something that we all need to keep in mind when we buy new shoes for our kids courtesy of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons:

  • Children do not need to wear the shoes by the time they are 12 or 15 months old and don’t start walking.

  • Make choice of shoes with a soft and flexible sole such as sneakers

  • Choose shoes that are big and wide enough for your kid’s feet growth

  • In case your kid takes his shoes off frequently, look fro any sign of discomfort on his feet like blisters, redness or calluses
